Yeah if he wants to sink his ship. I could see one of those starting the house a fire like Waco.
Dragon's Breath

Some good thoughts so far.
As much as I want dragon's breath, I fear the end result to my walls would be less worth the hassle.
The point about intensity in defense stands. As much as I love the idea of inflicting dozens of salt-stinging belly-button piercings to encourage someone to cut and run, maybe I'll try the experiment with buck. Should still be some room between the balls for some seasoning.
It will obviously make all of those puncture wounds and temporary cavities sting like crazy. Take the fight out of anybody.Because the salt would put it over the top for an intruder peppered with a bunch of .24 to .36 diameter holes?
No, that's really what this thread is.Is this really what the MD shooters community is?
The OP knew and said it was stupid in the first post. Most of us quickly agreed. Not sure how that's insulting.People insulting a newbie for asking a question to make themselves feel a little bigger?
The shells loaded with only rock salt were a product of later conversation and nobody really cares about rock salted shotgun shells since we've become grown-ups anyway. And so I don't sound like y'all, here's more info about rock salt in a shotgun from Box O' Truth:

A pirate firing a warning shot?
I won't be crass and say you should just kill yourself now, but will instead say you should eschew this folly for a threat ending round.

Post #3 respectfully spells this out, says what goes without saying, following posts then reinforce these well-known concepts, and yet, the OP is still talking about ******** novelty loads (instead of real bullets in real guns) in post #11. Ask and ye shall receive.
Just disappointed that this is the kind of post that gets pushed out to email,...
I've been thinking of having a marginally less dangerous "warning shot" in my shotgun before the mag switches over to heavier hitters.
I've seen some cool solutions from American Specialty Ammo, but the shipping costs are stirring that "creative spirit."
I was thinking of taking some old bird shot loads I have lying around and adding hyper-saturated saltwater paste in with the pellets.
Or, if that adds too much mass for the powder, flat out replacing some of those pellets with rock salt.
Mad science, or just madness?
The "search" feature is your friend.
You have missed the numerous threads where the organization of your shells in your shotgun should be in a specific order. Everybody has their own preference.
As an example:
1st #8 buckshot
2nd #00 buckshot
3rd 1 1/4 oz slug
4th #00 buckshot
5th 1 1/4 oz slug
Or any other manner. To accomplish your goal.
There's an email? I'm not being a smartass, I don't know what you're referring to.
My load out.
#1 Buck
#1 Buck
#1 Buck
#1 Buck
#1 Buck
#1 Buck
#1 Buck
#1 Buck
If they are too far away for #1 Buck, I don't have a reason to shot at them.
I get an email every so often "Sent on behalf of MDShooters by Threadloom" which lists "Highlighted posts".
Interesting. I had no idea the board did that. Must be some automated feature.
