Friday 2/21/20 will be another rare day of 2A-related events at the State Capitol.

    - attend a GUN BILL VOTING SESSION in the Senate Judicial Proceedings (JPR) Committee on Friday 2/21 at 8:30 AM

    - observe the Senate and/or House legislative floor sessions from the Visitor Gallery beginning at 11:00 AM

    - witness the special presentation of a $25,000 check to Maj Toure at 1 PM in the historic Statehouse, in front of the new Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass statues.

    - attend a second GUN BILL VOTING SESSION in the Senate JPR in the afternoon; the second session commences after the Senate floor session ends, beginning around NOON

and one has a choice to attend just one event, or all of them.

Click on this link below for more info and updates about the TWO JPR VOTING SESSIONS:

CAPITOL COMPLEX MAP and SUGGESTED PARKING

Take Route 50 to the Rowe Boulevard exit, look for the Navy Stadium on the right, turn right on Taylor Avenue to the stadium parking lots on the right.

    Map of the Capitol complex:

    http://www.mdffa.org/media/web/1481036599_1480972737_Map State Govt. Annapolis.pdf

Parking is available at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium all day for $5.00.

The Trolley Shuttle picks up passengers at the Navy stadium parking lot and drops off at various stops near the Senate Office Building and the Statehouse (ask the driver for guidance in choosing a stop) for $2.00.

There is free “all-day” (9-Hour) street parking on King George Street, east of St. John’s College, along the Naval Academy Wall.

(Check the parking signs; avoid the PERMIT PARKING ONLY near the intersection with College Avenue.)

The residential neighborhoods surrounding the Capitol offer free 2-hour street parking; check the signs.

The Maj Toure $25,000 check presentation takes place at 1 PM in the historic Statehouse, Building #18.

The morning and afternoon Senate JPR Voting Sessions take place in the Miller Senate Office Building, Building #13A.

Bumping the opportunity to meet a true 2A hero in Annapolis at 1 PM today.

Maj Toure is courageous and far-sighted, yet couldn’t be a nicer guy.

I’m sure Maj would be honored to meet you, fellow 2A defender.

    Behind enemy lines
There is a multitude of black folk who own firearms and are proponents of 2A on the strength of the racist roots of gun control with myself being one of them. I applaud Maj for trying to reach folks who are largely silent in the fight. I follow him on social media and will definitely include him in my list of donations for the cause.

    Big Joe!

    You are certainly no Joe-Come-Lately!

I don’t recall ever seeing an MDS join date as early as yours: May 2005.

Wow! Humbled to be quoting you!
