    Why would a NT individual when asked for edification react in such a way as to turn off the person seeking information? It's behaviour like that that turns off fence sitters.

    They certainly give a bad name to the multitude of people I have run across with Asperger's (given that I work in IT, I seem to know my fair share). Most of them, while a bit quirky, are downright decent people.
