Does anyone here on MDS know much about Japanese steel?

I know kh95 is a BIG Japanese weapon collector. I’d start there.
Then go to Rising Sun section of Gunboards

Are you sure they're Japanese? Those resemble the higher end replica stuff made in china. You'd have to disassemble them to be sure...

I’m not entirely sure. I think two of them are replicas. But the other ones seem to be Authentic. I took the handle off one of them.

You'd be surprised how nice the replicas can be. Unfortunately some are passed off as real. If you can get a decent one, knowing what it is, you can actually "play with it" and not feel guilty. Make sure you keep those in a proper storage (low humidity level protective case) so they don't rust or get damaged or anything.

Though I would like to know what mine is worth in the condition it is in. I am glad I found this thread that points in the right direction
