Yeah, that reminded me, the S&W 15-22 with pistol brace is also appealing.

Good to hear. I've heard other positive reviews on the SR22 as well.

I have a Walther PPQ 22 that Zzzzz_man shoots well and I still have to figure out. Keep thinking about the Taurus TX22, but it might be indistinguishable from the Walther for me. I have a PPQ in 9mm that is one of my favorite handguns, so I haven't given up on PPQ 22 yet, but am getting close (and contemplating alternatives). It is reliable.

Between both my SR22's they've gone through 20k rounds. My family shoots lots of 22. My original has the 15k round count. It is one of the early models. The newer versions are improved based on what I've read and my direct comparison between the two I have.

The TX22 is also of interest to me and I think this is a straight forward review:

I got to shoot Punisher12b's TX22 last week. He swapped-out the factory trigger but, other than that, it was stock. Nice shooter for a $200 pistol.

I've settled on a S&W Model 41. I looked at a Volquartsen Scorpion over in WV a few months ago but, I'm not seeing how it's $300-400 better. The decisions for me are going with either an older, lightly used 41 or getting a new one in either 5" or 7.5".

This Savage B22 BNS-SR with a threaded barrel.

They sell that with the wood stock?
I have the B22 bull barrel threaded but with synthetic stock.
Looking for a wood stock that won't break the bank.

The B22 is a tack driver with decent 22 ammo

I kind of want a pump action 22 rifle. Besides Rossi and Henry, who still makes these?

I would pretty much ignore any new offerings and pick up an old 1890 or 1906. Read up on the various collector criteria and decide what is important to you. You won’t beat the quality of either of those two in a modern rifle. Both are very much on my list. I’m after shooters myself.

Great little lite ,tube fed s,l,lr. pump.
Look for an older used clean one,not too fond of new Remington anything
