Herters ammo order before stiffed the ammo manufacturer

Read an article posted by the maker of Herters ammo. They had to pay premium prices for brass, powder, primers, etc. Then Cabelas wouldnt pay the increase in price. Because the ammo was labeled Herters, the maker could not sell the ammo. Cabelas said they'd pay pre-2020 prices only. This was far below costs.
I did not hear the latest but it sounds as though they are buying a little at a time. Stiffing maker!!

What's the term for a male Karen?

Trashing a great small firearms business whose owner BTW does more to defend the 2A in MD before he gets out of bed than I would venture the OP has in his lifetime. If I were the owner of J2 I would ban this prick from the store.

Ken is the name I believe you are looking for.

This entire thread is an embarrassment , for the reason is that the OP does not understand business or the law of averages when you are in business . What i mean by that is when you run a business the main thing is to supply customers with items that are in demand .
So 9MM or other ammo is bought at various amounts of money and sold for a profit , sometimes steel or aluminum i buy is high in cost and i have to sell it higher then i buy it . I never understood complainers about cost , you don't like the price move on and be a gentleman and quit bitching .
Business owners have to make a dollar or two in order to stay in business .

Bottom line is many put off buying and then there is a panic and then you complain , should have had a plan and if you did not that is on you . We lose good businesses by all the complaining .

I got ammo and primers. I don’t need it. I’m finding it. I’m trying to have people the price gouging that’s against the law in Maryland

I recently bought a handgun and the store had no ammo to go with it. I don't fault this company for wanting to price out hoarders so someone can purchase ammo with their gun.

***It would be cool of them to sell the ammo at a discount to gun purchasers.

But he is an anonymous poster on an internet forum. Unlike many of us here, nobody knows who he is. They can't ban who they don't know.

Looks like there is a name in the first post in the attachment. It is the internet though.

Several smaller gun stores don't have the bargaining power and leverage larger retailers do. Smaller shops I know of, have had to trade firearms for ammo, as well as buying any ammo they can find at auction, then mark it up a little over what they paid just to have some inventory and stay in business.

Had a small business for 28 years.
We couldn't BUY some items for what the big box stores sold them for. Yet offered them as a convenience to our customers. Some appreciated it, some complained about the price.

John doesn't know me from Adam, but has always impressed me. He does a TON for the firearms community. Taught Hunter Safety, was my youngest's instructor. Brought his guns, ammo and patience to many youth oriented outdoor activities.
Junior Hunter Field Day, DU's Green Wing Teal Day, etc.

He had a Henry at the range, and told both my sons to try it. They both have their own now.
Also let them both shoot his high end 10/22.
    They both shoot Smallbore silhouette.

Saw him at Sanners Lake all day, then up in Waldorf that night at a Friend's of the NRA fundraiser. Plus, up in Annapolis, as previous poster mentioned.

    John walks the walk.

I don’t think it is an embarrassment provided the MDS community stands up and does the right thing. In this case the statements made by the OP are clearly wrong and the owner of the store needs Defending.

The issue is that keyboard internet warriors state thing and feel they have no consequences for their false statements made.
Hopefully the OP will understand the comments are not true and he will public ally retract the negative statements.
