I’m looking for a deer rifle to take advantage of the new straight wall rule in Maryland.

Can anyone recommend a lightweight 350 Legend?

Looking for something under $1000 and under 7 pounds, with a rail for optics.

My brother in law has a Ruger American and I may end up with that, but the action sucks.

Get a Boyd’s stock for it. Inexpensive and a vast improvement over the stock, stock!

I grabbed a Savage Axis when I saw one at Walmart on a shopping trip. That (it comes with a scope), 2 boxes of target ammo, and 2 boxes of hunting ammo was under $500 out the door.

If you have a standard AR lower, you can grab a 350 legend complete upper for not too high a price from places like Bear Creek Arsenal for sub $400.

I just got one delivered today. I hope it works. I have a 458 socom from them also. Didn’t cycle reliably until I massaged the feed ramps. Hopefully this one works better. I’ll know in the next week.
