Sea ducks on the bay today. Damn, they are small, fast and hard to hit!!! The birds weren't flying much today so it made for a long day, but it beat being at work.

They are way more challenging to hit than geese or cupped and committed mallards. Those are a couple of beautiful birds you have in your hands.

Not a terrible day in the bay. Fog rolled in THICK around 1000. Couldn't see shore from 200 yards out.

We’re goose hunting out of layout blinds on Saturday. Forecast says I’ll be staring into the sun lol.

If anyone hunts around Havre de Grace/ the flats or lives here I am looking for a cackler, a ross, a common merganser drake, and a canvasback drake to be gifted for me to mount for my showroom. You would need to fill out a federal waterfowl tag ( I have them). Thanks.

Hoopers Island bright warm still day but still got a few red heads, canvas backs, and buffle heads. It was nice to get out after the stress of this week.

We bagged a nice haul of ruddies, canvasbacks, blue bills, geese and buffleheads on the Bay in Anne Arundel county yesterday. Earlier in the week, I got a couple black ducks in Montgomery County. I was blown away by how many ducks are flocking up out on the Bay now. THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS. The biggest flocks I have ever seen. We were very relieved to be able to get some ducks despite the warm weather.

What is everyone else seeing? It doesn't look like this warm weather is going anywhere soon. Maybe the last two weeks of the season will be exceptional if we can get some cold weather then.

I'm not seeing flocks near that size on the bay down here. Literally just saw my first scoter last week. Heard there's tons of birds in PA right now which sucks. We need a cold front to push them down.

Hunting the Outer Banks this morning with my wife’s nephew.

Limited out on scoter, redhead, 2 large mergansers, and bufflehead.

One more day of hunting tomorrow.
