1912 Springfield Krag Hollifield set

Found this at the local auctions, figured a few Springfield aficionados would be interested in seeing it. From what i can read, it was a way to boresight the rifle.

Apparently it was a training device that, along with spring-loaded cartridges, launched the rods into the targets.

I've come across a lot of requisitions for Hollifield sets at the national archives fron various units both 1903 and Krag.

I've seen 1903 sets, howevery I've NEVER seen Krag Hollifield sets.

Truly remarkable find. Congrats!
