2015 PA Steel Challenge Series Registration now OPEN

Registration is now open for the 2015 PA Steel Challenge Series and State Championship match. All 3 Matches were sold out last year. The State match saw 289 registrations from 14 different states, a prize table of over $25,000 and paybacks of $10,000.

After about 4 weeks of registration being open, the May and July matches are ½ full, the State Match is ¼ full. We want to welcome these additional sponsors, Trop Gun Shop and RTE Targets. With 7 months to go till the state match we have an average of $12,500* in sponsor promised products to give away by random drawing. Additional sponsors continue to be added. Main match is the same weekend as the NRA World Shooting Championship at Peacemaker (I am not likely to enter that however, but I have pro friends who are). I can see them on Thurs-Fri and shoot the PASC on the weekend. Just have to see if the NJ NSSF Regional is going to be on the same weekend also as it was in 2014.

Last year PASCSA match and NSSF match was in October. So if NSSF is on the same weekend it won't be a conflict.

We are in luck this year. The PSA Rimfire Challenge will be in the first weekend in Oct. and the NSSF Rimfire Worlds will be on the second weekend in Oct. Sweet! I can make all three events this year.
For those who don't know there are heated discussion going on at Brian Enos's forum about some of the changes in the NSSF Worlds that the NSSF and their sponsors plan and/or want to implement. I am going to open a new thread for that.

As long as whatever club is holding a sanctioned Steel Challenge event goes by the current rules and has no restrictions on firearms due to location they have to allow all categories to compete. I often only shoot the rimfire parts myself. I only shoot more if the match covers multiple days and I can be there for more than one.
There are 4 rimfire categories, RFPO Rimfire Pistol Open (or Optics), RFPI Rimfire Pistol Irons, RFRO Rimfire Rifle Open, and RFRI Rimfire Rifle Irons.

You can sign up for any category you would like. We have rimfire categories for Rimfire Pistol Open and Iron and Rimfire Rifle Open. We did away with Rifle Iron due to the low number of shooters we had in the category (1 in the state Match last year), you can still shoot and Iron Rifle but you'll be in the open category.
