    Howdy folks,

I am just getting back into reloading after a long hiatus. I found in my box of goodies some brass for a .38 Special I no longer have.
    150 Brass, fired once
    125 nickel and 25 live +p.
    Will trade for .45ACP brass.
Also, I have a single stage RCBS. Will other makes of Dies fit it?

    Thanks,
    Semper Fi

Other dies will work just fine as long as the threading is the same - I think there's a standard most of them conform to, although I think Dillon's dies are proprietary.

Only those for the Square deal press. The rest take standard dies.

As for old dies ther were 2 standards a smaller, older fine pitch one & the more current wider coarse pitch threads. There are adaptors for the older dies to use in modern presses.

To see which you have just put a ruler across the end of the threaded part. If its about 13/16" dia thats the new, the old is narrower at about 7/16".

Yes I know these are approximate, I'm just posting a quick 'n dirty check, not a thread spec.

I just KNEW someone had to go there with a thread spec.
Ok for the really, like, really detail-oriented types.

Old Lyman thread was 5/8X30 tpi, new "standard" is 7/8X14 tpi.:innocent0

    Hello again,
I would put this in the trade/sale classifieds but I need 50 posts before I can do so.
I also have around Seventy Five once fired shotgun shells 12ga, Twenty .44mag brass and some new (25) unfired 158 Gr +P Hollow Points and Seventy Five shells of .38 Special Steel Case . I would like to trade for .45 Brass.

    Thanks,
    Semper Fi
