Asking for a friend:
Say someone loads for .45 acp with 185gr. plated bullets and would like to use that same bullet for .45 long colt loads, would it be possible? Both appear to be .452 in diameter, as far as Berry's site goes. We figure the lighter bullets probably won't be as accurate in the SAA as a 230 or 250 grain load, but just for fun, low recoil plinking loads it would be simpler to just use what is already available on the table. Also thinking about some .454 lead round ball loads, but that's for another day.
TL;DR - can I take the same lightweight bullets I run in .45 auto loads and throw them in .45 LC loads (with change in powder charge, of course)
