Any way to tell what type of egg this is

Helping my dad move some mulch in is yard today and discovered a bunch of eggs in the pile. He lives about 500 yds from a wetlands creek tributary to the Magothy River.

If they are turtle eggs we’ll leave them be.

Looks like a turtle egg. Snake eggs are typically more oval, not round.
