AR15 build list

So I've decided to build an AR15 in 5.56. I've been reading up on the AR platform and have decided that this is my next endeavor. Here is my parts list.


Mega Machine Billet Lower or the Noveske Gen 2 Chainsaw lower

CMMG Lower Parts kit

Geissele Combat Trigger

BCM BFH 16" Mid w/Larue Tactical 9" guard

I know I still need to figure out a stock, but not sure on what else I need.

Any advice or suggestions recommended to different parts or additional items needed.

looks good! Are you getting complete BCM upper? I'm assuming so. Do you have AR tools? What sights or optics?

BTW awesome trigger...I like the Geissele triggers, haven't found anything better. I even like them better than my bolt gun triggers.

-Buffer tube assembly, which includes the tube, spring and buffer. I'd recommend a Spikes ST-T2 buffer.
-Sights and/or optics
-One or more magazines
-Possibly a Flash Hider or Compensator/Brake. (the BCM comes with an A2 FH, but you may want something different)

Go with the Noveske lower, LMT sopmod stock or Vltor IMOD, and 9in Larue rail if you're running a mid Length gas system.

Actually now that I think of it LMT complete lowers are a good option too.

I definitely want to go with the mid length gas system.

I'm looking at the BCM Complete upper. Will probably opt for the Surefire

Not sure on optics yet.

And I will be getting the tools required.

Well then you probably won't need the H2 buffer...

I have an LMT SOPMOD stock on one of my guns, but I think the EMOD is actually a little nicer. The new MagPul ACS is also really nice.

One minor issue: the new Surefire high cap mags won't fit in the Noveske flaired lowers. I don't know if that matters to you or not, but thought you should know before you buy (I didn't...)

Thanks for the info BenL. I was actually looking at maybe getting a couple of those. So if I do decide on the Surefire mags, I'll go with the Mega Machine lower instead.
