So I am interested in getting a Beretta M1951 for collecting purposes. I searched on the MDSP handgun register but could not find it. Is it because it could be a C&R? Just looking for any info I could find.

Production ended in 1980 so it is exempt from the handgun roster, being made prior to the Jan 1985 effective date of the roster.

<edit> and yes many are C&R eligible but determining the exact date of mfg can be problematic if it does not have the proof date.
