Anyone order a suppressor from them? Their prices are good, and at least according to their website will ship "to your door" when the application is approved.

It's been a while but my experience with them was great. They even mailed me the muzzle device that came with the can while I was waiting on the transfer to the dealer.

So the can doesn't ship to your door then? Their website makes it sound like they do all the paperwork/transfers etc so it doesn't have to transfer to another dealer...

    too good to be true....

I bought a couple of cans from them last year. It was pretty painless. One of the cans was out of stock when I ordered it but they kept me informed about the status until it was back in stock. I think they only do home delivery if the customer lives in TX where they are based. They asked me for an FLL and I picked Engage Armaments since they are quite close to me.

So you still had to pay your local FFL fees then? When I asked SilencerShop, they said if it's one of their dealers there should be no additional fees. They specifically said that if one of their "network/partners" DOES, that they should be informed.

My experience with Silencer Shop was that Gun Metal, in Millersville, did not charge me anything when he did the transfer.

All Pawn said they charge $85 even though it’s from silencer shop.

CA just confirmed that it would be TYD…no local FFL necessary …

I too do not recall having to pay an FFL fee to Engage Armaments when I picked up my two cans. I had used the Silencer Shop kiosk at Engage to do my fingerprints and other documentation.

If you use a Silencer Shop vendor you do not pay any transfer fee (AKA, Cindy's, United, etc). If you buy from a local SS vendor, they'll have it sitting on the shelf waiting for you, the moment you get your approved Form4 you can drive over that same day and pickup.

A co-worker of mine I know had a "to the door" a few months ago, pretty sure he used Capitol. I know he was bitching it was an extra like 3 weeks after he received his approved Form4 from the ATF. ... and I think some sort of additional fee is tacked on. (Don't quote me on the fee part).

Guess I'll be using a SilencerShop vendor then. That extra $100 sucks....even if I find a "deal" on a can from another vendor, I don't think I'm gonna find THAT big of a deal. At least I can have "conjugal" visits while I wait...

So here is where you lose that $100 savings. The NFA transfer fee. The NFA transfer fee varies from FFL to FFL. I've seen as low as $100 all the way to a high of$500 and everywhere in between. A NFA transfer fee is on average between $150 and $250 PER ITEM.

Embrace the suck and go through Silencer Shop. They do make it painless.

Little update; took advantage of Black Friday sales and ordered a Diligent Defense Enticer L-Ti through Capitol Armory. The process was super easy...now the wait.
