    Not a single complaint, no expectation of government help, and certainly weren't worried about hurting someone's feelings.

    Yes sir. He grew up on a farm in Miller's Station with 10 brothers and sisters.

    At least part of his story got told to be remembered.

    My grandfather didn't seem to want to tell his story besides some short stories here and there. The problem is besides the medals and awards no one will know now.

    The lesson learned...ask ask ask and hope they tell you.
