Not a gimmick, CCI 41's for 223/556. Price isn't bad, but the hazmat is a killer.. lol

They are made from a slightly harder material to prevent slam fires. Not that I have ever seen a slam fire happen from a well maintained ar15 in good working order. But I read it happens.

That fee is charged by UPS, not Natchez. ALL primers and powders shipped pay that fee.

They are the same primers used in miltary 5.56 ammo.

They are basically the same primer as the CCI 450 Small Rifle Magnum Primer (same cup thickness and priming compound), but the Military Primer has the anvil about 0.002" further away from the bottom of the cup to further reduce the risk of slam fires.

I always use the military primers in semi auto military rifles to prevent slam fires. It's worked so far in Ar15 and Garand.

They will work, but may slam fire, especially if you have a high primer.

I have used 450 SR Magnum primers for many years without issues. But the are almost the same thing as #34 Military Primers.
