Cut Lead Bar Rounds

A neat history video I stumbled on this morning. Short version is the Ottoman foot soldiers would pour lead into a cut it into cubes for their bullets. First thing that came to mind while watching is the Puckle gun variant that was specially made to shoot square bullets when fighting muslims. Makes me wonder if that is a direct result of cut lead.
