I am looking at a DuraCoated P64 that looks to be in nice condition but the seller coated the Feed Ramp. He said there was nothing wrong with the ramp when he coated it, but did it for corrosion resistance. Could this cause any problems or if it is rough can DuraCoat be buffed/smoothed out (or even removed if needed)?

Anything can be removed if you want it gone bad enough. ;)

I'd have to think it'd be possible it may cause an issue with feeding, especially with HP's, but I'm not familiar with DuraCoat and it's texture, so I couldn't say for sure.

One of local guru's will surely stumble upon this and give their opinion, so just check back.

That doesn't seem like a good idea. Maybe something slick like cerakote would have been a slightly better idea? I wouldn't want anything on the feed ramps.
