So, I bought a Hbar 20" AR with a fixed front sight, and flip up rear sight. I found a scope I have that will help me see the target, but my scope rings are too low. Are there any scope rings made to put a 1 inch scope ring tube up wot cowitness the front fixed sight? Thanks

I have searched F height scope rings, but didn't know if they had a specific name, so I know WHAT to search for.
I searched cowitness scope rings and there were quite a few hits. Then I searched see through scope rings and got quite a few hits as well.

Scope rings are typically available in “low”, “medium”, “high”, “extra high”, or in .75”, 1.00”, 1.25”, 1.5”, 1.75”, etc... What is “F height”?

If your rings are too low, then you need taller rings. If you currently have 1.00” high rings, maybe you need 1.25”, or 1.50” high rings. Or go from “low” to “medium” or “high” ???

Ok, sorry, I'm not 100% on terminology. So, I have a 20" AR. Has a front F marked, fixed front sight. I have a flip up rear sight but my vision sucks, so I am wanting to put a small 4x scope on it for now. The scope tube is 1". I am trying to find the correct height scope rings that I need that will provide an absolute cowitness to the fixed front sight. I saw online the low, medium and tall. One sight said I needed 1.4", another said .83. Basically I want the crosshairs to be on the front sight. Thanks for any input.

So the flip up rear sight should center with the center of your telescope tube, right? What height is that?

Depending on the magnification of the sight 3X and higher the FSB will most likely disappear. And co-witness would be true at 1X and start moving from that point.

You can’t cowitness a scope with irons. You can with a red dot but anything with multiple lenses is going to screw up your cowitness. A 4x scope will for a lack of proper terminology, see around your front sight. Get a quick detach mount and if you need to use your irons, quick detach the scope.
