Faxion ARAK-21

Hey gang,

I am interested in getting the Faxion ARAK-21 upper for my build rifle. The cool thing about this upper is the barrels are interchangeable between 5.56 and 300 blackout. They offer a 12.5 inch barrel as well. all barrels have individual serial numbers.

My question is if I buy the upper with the 16" barrels and purchase the 12.5" separately, what part do I have to register with the ATF? The barrel or the entire rifle?

You have to register the lower, along with the length of the rifle, as well as the caliber.

Thanks, would I have to do that before I take possession of the Barrel? or can I order the barrel but not put it in the receiver until I get all the ATF paperwork? Nothing on their site says anything about NFA paperwork that I found.

You need to have your rifle registered beforehand. Possession of the barrel and an unregistered rifle is constructive possession, which is illegal.
