I finally made it to Machinegun Nest today. Was able to zero my sights with no problem. Ran 30 rounds of Federal and 120 rounds of MFS. No problem at all. When I put the rifle away in my rifle bag, the hot barrel touched the fabric material and some of the material melted in the barrel. Is there a way of taking that melted material off the barrel?

Brake cleaner should get it off.

Happiness is a warm gun. Except when putting into a synthetic gun case .

Give it a cpl minutes to cool off while you gather the rest of your gear , or have a final session with your pistol .

Round about when were you there? I went in there with a friend of mine, so he could shoot some things that I own.

Sorry that happened to your AR. I can't offer much help but I did want to say how much I like my Windham. Great rifle! What are your thoughts of it? I assume it's the HBR?

I love my Windham. I have another AR, an LMT, which I have about 2k in it. I don't know where where the extra money went. Well, I got the LMT six years ago and have added an Aimpoint PRO and Geissele trigger in it. But for $730, the Windham is a very nice AR. I have no plan of adding anything to it, other than the Ergo grips it has now.
