I've been looking for a Green Mountain barrel for my 10/22.
I'd prefer a blued barrel, but, stainless would do. (Bull barrel, or fluted.)

Seems like all of the usual sources don't have them in stock!!

Went to Green Mountain's website, and they don't have any, either.

    What gives????????

Can anyone recommend a different make/model with a good reputation?????

    Thanks in advance.

    O.K. . . . now I'm confused.

Of the barrels listed on that page, which of those barrels would you consider to be better/best???????

I'm looking to make one of my 10/22s a real tackdriver, but 100% reliable.

get the green mountain and some wolf match ammo.

    Thanks, everyone!!

20" bull barrel (blued) ordered from Mid-South Shooter's Supply. En route.
(Wanted an 18" barrel, but, it won't be available until September or October, supposedly.)

"Blaster" stock (nutmeg laminate) ordered from Boyd's. En route.

Leupold Scope rings (medium 'matte') ordered from Natchez Shooters Supply. En route.

Already had Leupold 'standard' dovetail mount (matte) in the workshop.

Trying to decide what scope to put on this project.
I do have a 4-12x40mm Nikon ProStaff sitting in the workshop, but, I might put that on my Remington 799 (.223).

What are your thoughts on a scope for a 10/22 project gun??

My thought has always been, go big. If you're trying to one-hole your target, you need to be able to see that one hole to hit it again.;)

I have a 8x-24x currently on my GM 20". It pulls the target right into your grill.:D

Wolf Match is good stuff and the ELEY Match groups even better at longer ranges if you've got the cash.

With ELEY, you'll be using a noticable hold-over at 100yds, but they group right where you put 'em.
