Greetings from a Noob to the Community

I just recently found this forum and joined so I'm just dropping in and saying hello as a newbie. I'm new to gun ownership, and looking forward to the journey of learning and understanding many things about firearms including being a firearm owner in Maryland. To that end, I didn't fuss around but instead started very quickly out of the gate. In less than a year, I've already acquired my HQL, my MD CCW permit as well as CC permits from a couple of other states (allows me to carry in 35 states), and MSP approval to be a designated collector. Hmm, looking back at what I've done in that time frame now that I've typed it all out, I guess I not only started quickly out of the gate, but I went out in a full sprint. Initially, my primary reason for owning a firearm is for home defense/self-defense purposes, but now I'm thinking that I might be a hobbyist too! Not to mention the amount of enjoyment I get from going to the range to shoot and train.

Like I said, I'm looking forward to learning from this forum, using it as a resource, and just having some good discussions.

Welcome from VA. Good for you for jumping head first into it. We need more people like you to exercise their 2nd amendment right, especially in states that abhor it. Good luck in your journey, and get your wallet ready
