    Ok...I have done the 80% Ar Lower with good results. I was not too concerned about messing things up because the upper was from a reputable manufacturer and that is where all the high pressure stuff is.

    With the 80% polymer handgun build how critical are the milling issues with it. I keep picturing myself with a slide flying off when I test fire it.

    Are there concerns here?

    You really are not milling off anything much that is structural. There is a metal insert/locking block that is srewed in from the sides. That locking block is what holds the front rails. You are mainly getting rid of excess material so that block will fit and the slide will have clearance.

    The only other milling is the rear slide rails that are more to guide the slide than support it really. The bulk of the forces are on the front metal slide rails.
