GM - Figured I'd post here in case anyone has any recommendations for a company that specializes in tear out and rebuild of a large retaining wall that is holding up our current concrete pool deck/pool area. The wall that is in place seems to be on its last leg, with many of the wood beams getting pretty rotted and we would like to replace with something not lumber based that will last and do the job. Since 2/3 of the concrete pool deck will probably need to be demolished, work would also include replacing it with something else, maybe pavers.

We had several companies out, but most that actually show up to provide an estimate are never to be heard from again. Any help would be appreciated. We are in Howard County.

    Thanks!

This guy (Kahn) did our patio years ago. We’ve also had him back since then to do a front paver walk and refinish our entrance stairs. He’s going to do it right, his way, or he will walk, but he does nice work. Does pool demolition, all kinds of paver work, retaining walls, etc. Our patio in back is the one at the very bottom in the string of projects he’s done if you click in the “Patios” button.
