I moved to O-Denton (far south edge closer to Crofton) in 2017. Recently retired and now intending to shoot more. I still have a carry permit issued by Baltimore County police department that allowed my father to give me permission to carry a firearm; actually ride my bike carrying a shotgun. Too young to drive but could still be out on my own with a firearm. No one ever stopped me riding though the BC community we lived in. If this was today it's likely a swat team would be called to action. HOW IN THE HELL DID WE GET HERE? It's likely this "community of practice" is good place to keep up with current and future issues. I have completed all the necessary training and paper work to have what the BC Police gave out on a simple form many, many decades ago. Hmmm, maybe I should take my bike out more. Hello everyone.

What? None of this makes any sense, or sounds remotely legal in any way.

He's telling us how old he is , without saying how old he is . :)

    Welcome MJK !
Thanks, I also have a receipt for an M1 Carbine, for $17.50 plus $2.50 shipping and handling to our address. I don't know if FFL existed then. Things have changed a whole lot.

For the general education of our readers , it was GCA '68 that both stopped Mail Order sales ( other than DCM and FFL 003 ) , and created FFL .

And handful of states had their own regulations predating 1968 , including Maryland . Md had regulations on Handguns, to include the Pistol & Revolver Dealers License , and 7 Day Cooling Off Period in 1966 .
