  • So I just picked this up as a Christmas present but not sure on the model so looking for any help you guys have. I want to replace the grips as one of them is broken at the bottom of the mag well, I tried to get as many pictures of the markings incase that would make it easier, I also asked if this was a C&R firearm and was told no they looked and it wasn't. It has 213 on the side but when I look that up it is slightly different and doesn't have the lanyard ring at the bottom of the pistol grip. it is also my understanding that the Norinco is a Chinese copy of a Soviet TT-33 Tokarev pistol?

Norinco Model 213. If it has a double-stack magazine (and wider frame) it's a Model 213A.

It looks like the rollmarks were scrubbed off of the slide for some reason, hence that little hand-stamped "Tok 213" on the frame.
This is basically a Type 54 (TT-33 clone) made specifically for the commercial market, chambered in 9x19 instead of 7.62x25 Tok.
It is not C&R eligible unfortunately.

It may take some digging to find grips without the lanyard loop cutout.
The M58 Tokegypt grips may work with some trimming and fitting for the thumb safety and they make the grip much more comfortable.
If it's an 213A then the wrap-around type grip won't fit.
