    The M14K was 16"? Seems like a lot to do to loose just 1/4".

    Edit: Looks like the LaFrance M14K as pictured is 13.5". Shorter than the originals.

    14". And, yes, you really had to dig deep to lose those 2".

    Adding to the questions re: SBR confusion; is the 29" OAL for ALL sbrs, or much like the .22lr vs. 5.56 does it vary on caliber and/or action? I'd like to SBR a .300BO Ruger American Ranch (or possibly a CZ 600 Trail) and cut the barrel to 8"

    Applies to all semi-auto centerfire rifles. You can chop a bolt action down as far as you'd like.

    Rimfire can be shorter than the 29" OAL, even if it is semi auto.
