Obviously pre-1968. I have one of these I want to vanish from my safes. Does anyone think there would be a problem transferring this because of the NSN?

No problem at all. Just a FTF sale is fine. Heck, don't even need a bill of sale if you don't want. I bought a Rem 22 from an LGS a few years ago with no ser # so none on paper work. Shame you are so far away. I like the old Mossys.

Can't post classified ads here, I'm locked out. Don't know why. Don't dare ask why; we're not doing that again. I'll probably put it up for sale elsewhere.

Why don't you take a few pictures and put it in the classifieds, Clean Old Mossys are great !

If you take some pictures of it(when posting for sale elsewhere), post a couple here also. I'd like to see it, didn't know that the 500 had been around that long.

Old Mossbergs are cool. I had a 1971 model that I regret selling.

In 1970ish..they went from one to two action bars on the slide. Mine was the first year of the double bars, had beautiful wood furniture and a jeweled bolt.
