Hey gang. As the title says.
Looking for a smith in the area to cut down a polymer stock on my 870.
Or... has anyone done it themselves?
Or... get a tactical? This is exclusively a deer gun.

Home Depot, plastic mitre box and saw. Measure it intelligently and the cut will be straight and without incorrect pitch. There should be enough stock material to reinstall and fit the original butt pad.

My Mossy 500 Cruiser wasn’t friendly to shoot and shot high. Figured out the LOP was too long. Mitre box helped me get what I needed.

Sometimes a stock from a junior gun of same model is just right.

    Walt does great work.

However, may be cheaper and easier to buy a shorter polymer stock.
Then, you have the original to sell or put back on down the road.
That would seem to be a better idea. Buy an adjustable stock or one with a shorter LOP.
