The Ladd Everitt response fails to take into account that many in the black community have been brainwashed for so many years by politicians, the media and even by black churches that guns are evil and many thus probably are against guns. But I commend Star Parker for standing up and reminding everyone how it was in the days of segregation and that the trend trying to be foisted on us by gun grabbers could indeed result in a repeat of those events, not just for the black community this time but for all law abiding citizens.

We need to encourage this type of video, once people become comfortable with firearms, they realize guns are just tools. Tools that are most often used by normal people for normal purposes- target shooting, plinking, hunting, collecting, self-defense, etc. In very rare circumstances they are used by criminals to enable crime, and even rarer still by 'the good guys' (police, legal citizens, military) to stop criminals. The vast majority of self defense use of firearms it in deterring criminals.
