New Venue for MARS 22LR PRS Competition

The information below is posted for Steve J, the Match Director for the new 22LR PRS competitions at the Bridgeville Rifle and Pistol Club (BRPC) in Bridgeville, DE. If you haven’t tried Rimfire PRS competition yet, MARS is a great way to get into the sport (it’s both challenging and a lot of fun), and Steve is dedicated to building this discipline at the Bridgeville club.

Sorry for the delay getting the matches for May and June up on practiscore.com. they are up and registration is now open. The matches will no longer be NRL22 matches. I am changing the club to Modern American Rimfire Series, AKA Mars or Mid Atlantic Rimfire Series. Mars has a much better cost structure for the club and us as shooters. The Mars matches will draw more shooters from the surrounding areas that we all can learn from. Many clubs within a short drive have matches each month for those of us that may wish to compete in multiple matches. Sectionals and championship are held at Shadow Hawk in West Virginia.

Modern American Rimfire Series has thirty dollar membership fee per year for those who wish to participate. You don't need to be a member to shoot matches at Bridgeville. However, Mars unlike NRL22, does a great job updating the leader board on the website. You can easily track your progress within the series. Any questions about the MARS change, please reach out. Hey 22LR shooters - Why not try signing up for the Bridgeville MARS match on Saturday 5/21? (Beats yard work or the HoneyDo list.) This will be a great opportunity to try out rimfire PRS and score some series points. Bring what you got, almost any 22LR with a scope will work. LOTS of help and loaner equipment will be available for new shooters.

Update:
The Bridgeville, DE BRPC range will be hosting a MARS match (22LR Precision) this Saturday June 4th. The Course of Fire has been published and it looks MUCH easier than the inaugural match, and the weather forecast MUCH cooler. Should be a nice day for a relaxed 22LR shooting match, and ideal for new shooters. Preregistering on Practiscoe.com is appreciated by the MD, but "walk-ons" are A-OK.
