    So here's the deal...

I shoot indoor 10m air pistol competitively, and I'm using my first pistol, a Daisy (Avanti) 747.

What is there that's a step up from what I'm shooting, without going all the way to the FWB and Steyr price range?

I typically score in the low sharpshooter range, and I'm wondering how much of that is my pistol, and how much is me. When I shoot my .22 in Bullseye, I regularly shoot expert, and have on rare occasion shot a master score.

Oh yeah, I'm left-handed, so grip availability is a biggie for me.

    All the best,
    Rob

The Izh-46 is generally considered to be THE mid-grade gun. Although you might be able to score a FWB 65. You'll need aftermarket grips, but those are available.

I shot one of these things and the trigger pull was < 1lb. (in the ounces)

Not sure if they come that way or he did it himself, but it was very accurate.:)

I'm really hoping to find something in the Precharged category. there's an Alfa that looks nice at pyramidair for about $650 - but no one seems to know anything about it.

Of course, in the grand scheme of things, I don't have any disposable income right now anyway, so it's all window shopping...dammit!
