NICS on "OTHER" in MD

Hey Tim, I wasn't sure if you had seen this or not. FBI has clarified that MD FFLs can run a NICS check on "OTHER", MSP is only the sole authority for "HANDGUN". So you should be good to call in stripped lowers, just not pistols.

(No proof yet that you actually can, just yhatvyoure supposed to be able to.)

After our chat on Friday I figured you'd want to see this.

I hope something happens soon. I'm now on week 17 for 2 stripped lowers.

we have tried to call NICS twice since this notice for "other" and they deny the transaction.

however......

we are now releasing ALL GUNS on a timely bases....however the customer will sign a release form (prior to msp return) IF they want they're gun!
