Howdy!
I have a ‘59 single six. It has the one piece, no screw half-moon front sight. What I’d like to do is have a 1/16” “ivory” bead front and a v-notch rear. Pretty sure the v-notch is not an issue.
Would a “pre-63” gun be able to use a “post-62” barrel? Reason I ask, I can put together a marbles front ramp and ivory bead no issue. What I don’t have the capacity or tools for is to mill the half moon, perfectly align a set of threads, etc etc.
If a ‘59 SS can wear a post-63 barrel, I’m in the clear for much less monies.
But I know my luck and it won’t work
Anyone that can chime in or point me in the right direction, thank you! Passer-by comments welcome, too
