A petition delays a bill from taking effect until the electorate ratifies it. If you want Baltimore and the DC suburb counties to really set gun policy in the future, that's the way to do it. Once the news media is finished a propaganda campaign on such an initiative, the electorate would ratify the ban -- and it won't be close -- and that will then embolden antis to enact even more sweeping restrictions. Forcing such an all-or-nothing vote would be a gift to the gun-grabbers. The resources should be devoted to defeating specific legislators in specific districts who voted in favor of the restrictions against the urging of well-informed blocs of gun-owners in their districts.

If this goes to petition the court will moot any case ...until we loose . This may mean another Obama appointment on the court

The PR disaster will help mom in the primaries.

I respect the delegate but unless this is a false flag it is a real problem for us.
