I'm tearing my house apart and can't find the #&$%#@! plug that came with my semi-auto. Can someone confirm that I do NOT need a plug for early goose? That seems to be the impression I get from my guide--

Migratory game birds may not be taken with a shotgun capable of holding more than 3 shells (except resident Canada geese during the September seasons and light geese during the Conservation Order Season) unless it is plugged with a one-piece filler which is incapable of removal without disassembling the shotgun.

Break off a stick to the correct plug length. That's what my fowl hunting friends tell me they do if they are in the blind and someone realizes they forgot their plug.

Yep, my freinds 500 came from the factory with a wooden dowell for a plug. Doesnt have to be fancy
