Can a pistol and ammo be together in the same range bag if the pistol has a trigger lock or cable installed?
Pretty sure they can be in the same bag without a lock, just has to be unloaded.

I believe you may be confusing MD transport rules with FOPA transport rules. FOPA requires separate containers.

Thanks. I am in the process of submitting for my Maryland Wear and Carry and 'feel the need' to practice at the range. Don't want to do anything to compromise my application.

Yeah, Maryland only requires it to be in an enclosed holster or case and unloaded. So no ammo in the gun. Magazines can be loaded, so long as they aren’t in the gun. I’d personally keep them in my trunk or behind me on the floor. But that’s as much out of sight as anything. No requirement in MD while transporting. But I don’t want to waste time or hassle if an officer sees a range bag and starts asking questions even if I am 100% in the right.
