Just got a new slide for my g19 and after finishing the slide with a parts kit, it would not rack properly. It just seemed like it was binding up and after checking it out I saw it recoil spring was scratching the barrel. So I replaced the recoil spring and it has been fine since. Has anyone else seen this issue. Should I try to replace the spring in the guide rod or just throw it away

So after replacing the recoil spring everything was great

I tried to upgrade the takedown lever to the extended version and it came with a replacement spring. The replacement spring for the takedown lever caused my slide not to go back in to battery

Maybe the new spring was causing it the slide to be too tight and be too much friction to recoil back to battery
