Remington 870 Police Magnum - How'd I Do?

Paging Alphabrew and friends; I wanted to see what the verdict was on this new-to-me Remington 870 Police Magnum I picked up at a PA gun show today.

I'm usually looking for 870 Wingmasters, but SOSS has been so slow lately with inventory I figured I'd give a show a shot.

I think I did okay given the ST peep ghost ring sight, extension, and functioning Surefire forend, but I honestly have no idea - so thoughts are very welcome.

The seller wouldn't budge on his $449 asking price, so that was it. Before tax and a $10 4473 fee, of course.

How'd I do?

You have no idea how badly I want one with those sight!!! IMHO you got a good deal, I’d have def paid that. That’s a fantastic shotgun. Great score for sure!

It’s probably worth upgrading the light in that SureFire with an LED using the Malkoff conversion.

That's a great price. If I remember correctly, Scattergun Technologies was sold to Wilson, and later mods so marked. We have some of the 14" at work, and they pattern beautifully from 50. Cost was about $1,100 I believe and that is without the early streamlight forend which were another 3 or 4 hundred 20 years ago.

I think you meant SureFire forend. They sell for $80ish in good shape on gunbroker nowadays but you’re right about the price new 20 years ago. They can be upgraded to LED with the kit from Malkoff.
