Scanners lake holds monthly Rimfire steel challenge. Pistols and rifles.

STEEL CHALLENGE - Sunday, 24 Mar 2024 We are shooting ONLY pistol caliberhandguns and carbines; .22LR to .45. NO rifle ammo! No 5.7x28. Holsters are not required but encouraged. If you bring a holster; Strong side, outside the waistband holsters ONLY. NO cross-draw, shoulder rigs, small of the back, ankle or appendix carry. Bring an Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI), hearing and wrap-around eye protection and at least 100 rounds. If you bring a holster also bring a sturdy belt, four magazines, and two magazine pouches for your belt. Keep all guns cased until the safety briefing is over and you are instructed on the uncasing procedures and the courses of fire. Wear weather-appropriate attire; water and sunscreen for hot days and feel free to bring a chair. We shoot rain or shine unless the range is closed. Weather-related Range Status: 410-461-9855 After shooting we'll meet at Facci’s for beverages (11095 Resort Road, Ellicott City, MD 21042). You can view the entire 2024 Steel Challenge schedule in a .pdf or on the MRPC website calendar and here is the 2024 Ft Meade Range Schedule. On the MRPC website calendar, the times are not correct when you click on the event but if you click on "See more details," the time is correct. We are working to fix the problem.​

Any pics of what an "egg match" target looks like? I am trying to get the picture.

Continue reading and you'll notice that high score recorded at their traditional matches was 22. Out of 40.
40 out of 40 has been done numerous times at the egg matches.

I'm sure the sitting position counts for most of it.

20 minutes north of you at Seitzland Rifle Club.
The first Sunday of the month from April to October.
It is a combined match of lever action rifles and handgun.
What are known as 1/2 scale targets at 40, 50, 75 and 100 meters,
Handguns in 22lr and pistol calibers are allowed.
