Just picked up a used Smith and Wesson 22A pistol for a good price. Anything I should look out for or expect from it. I think I'm also going to throw a red dot on it,any recommendations?

Great choice. The mag disconect gives some fits when forgotten. It is great with a red dot. You can order extra barrels in different lengths/configurations for that special custom setup. My next project will be replacing the grips with the grip from a softair to duplicate the feel of my real handguns.

Patty and I have found the S&W 22A a great choice for training new folks. Very versatile and can be easily customized.

I keep one with the standard iron sights and another with a red dot.
