I use a 300 bo for hunting. Currently have a 3x p223 on it. The exposed turrets are terrible for hunting. I like the 3x power and would like a lighted rectical. Any recommendations? I hunt in the dark wooded swamp if that helps any

If you're good with fixed 3x, Primary Arms and Sig both make prism scopes with etched & lighted reticles and BDC for 300 BO supers and subs. Either can be had for under $300.

I went with the Sig Bravo 3. It has a 0.5 moa dot surrounded by a horseshoe. The dot can be hard to see at low illumination. Still, no regrets.

I have an older weaver 800364 and newer Burris RT6 on my comp rifles that are 1-5 ,6 power with lit reticals and low turrets. Both work really well

For a fixed 3x check out a vortex spitfire hd 3x. Not exactly a riflescope but for what your doing and if you like the fixed 3x its worth a look.

I am a hair away from this:
Read the owner's manual regarding the reticle.
    https://www.swfa.com/swfa-ss-1-4x24-tactical-30mm-riflescope-kit-pro.html?___SID=U

Exposed turrets: I've not had a problem with.

Alternatively there is this. I have the 1-4 older version and like it:

    Then again there is this:
    https://www.larue.com/products/nightforce-atacr-1-8x24mm-and-larue-mount/

Or this, I've contemplated this for years but prefer more options to the reticle, may get one anyhow:

    Good luck OP!

Personally the 1-6 Vortex strike Eagle is about as low as I go. It's decent glass for the money, has a throw lever, illumination and capped turrets. For LPVO I tend to go with Strike Eagles for cheaper stuff and PST2 if I want about the best thing under a grand.

Is it entirely electric cross hairs or does it have some with out the illumination turned in?
