SMLE No4 Mk1 Restoration

Finally got home to see the stock I ordered for my restoration project. It is in good condition, although the upper rear handguard is severely darker. I also did some digging for the various bands and screws needed. All have been ordered, and I'll have to admit, I'm excited to be doing this!

I was going to post pics until I realized when the rifle was sporterized, they chopped the barrel by 2 inches! Might as well just get a new rifle

Yeah, but installation and chamber boring can be expensive unless you can do it yourself.

NOS barrels are available. So far all of my Lee Enfields have been mostly unmolested, except for this last one. Someone decided to put a polyurethane finish on the stock Still looks good, I need to test her out soon, along with my P14 and Vz-24.

I could very well get a new barrel, but might as well get a completely new rifle while I'm at it haha I guess I'll have to weigh my options, see what I want to do.

If you decide to sell the new stock you got, let me know. My first Enfield has a dark stock and lower handguard, but the upper handguards are significantly lighter.
