Question for those who have shot steel targets at DSC - what did you use to hang your target?
I have a shepards hook to use but was wondering about the ground being hard or did you use something else, and what does DSC use for their steel targets.
    Thanks in advance!

The ground is usually pretty soft there. Most of the time too soft, esp the further out you walk.

DSC uses stands that have a place for sandbags on the bottom to put paper targets up.

The only steel I know of is on the one pistol range, I am not sure how its anchored.

The targets have a base that allows a 2x4 to slide into it. The steel plate has a hook and there is a cap that goes on top of the 2x4 to accept the hook.

There is usually steel out at the 200. Self supporting stand just like on the pistol range. Well, mostly self supporting ... I have been known to knock them over with my PSL :innocent0
