If you have wind and tide working together, in this case, it would be an incoming tide, that can cause an abnormally high tide. Combine that with the continued run-off from the hurricane, a very high tide.

I am so confused. Do we or don't we have a water shortage? If there was a water shortage would obama's chef have drowned? Another lib/democrat take broom, lift rug and...

Dunnoo. We took the "locals exit" & left about an hour later"!
We were "stranded" in a pub, on a bay, & the waitress was resupplying us as the sun went down.
Oh the Horror!
