    I'm not an inertia driven fan, if you plan on shooting clays, I would stay away from them.

    I went and held a few guns today.. a few of the Benellis and also the Berettas. I also picked up a Winchester. I will say I was not very pleased with a few of the Benelli models.. too bulky and I didn't like the way they shouldered.

    However, the Montefeltro felt nice to me. It ran close to the Beretta Urika2.. which is a sweet looking gun. I really liked it.

    So back to the decision.. gas or inertia. I don't think I've heard anything bad about the Beretta gas system. I think it's winning the fight right now..

    If you are going to raise up your budget, look at the A400. Ive read about at least two old school shooters who retired their K-80's in favor of the new Beretta. Ever since shooting mine the first time, I remember thinking to myself, Ill NEVER need another auto shotgun. It just mounts and shoots beautifully.
