These have a niche. For those that want to carry mouse gun calibers like 32 ACP where JHP's under penetrate. Also for people who still believe in the philosophy bigger bullets are better for example 45ACP guns can chamber 45 Super. The problem being these companies are loading 45 Super with JHPs designed to perform at 45 ACP velocity. Resulting in the over expansion and under penetration into gel. As was shown in Military Arms Channel's videotape "10mm vs 45 Super". Since these do not expand too much velocity is never an issue and actually a benefit to the fluid transfer design. I've scoured the interwebs for realworld proof of the effectiveness of these fluid transfer bullets. Here are a few I have found.

Youtuber AP2020 reviews aftermath of XD bullet.

Hunting Guide used 9mm 90gr Underwood Xtreme Defender on bear

    JohnG meat tests

Black Rifle Review said "I own and operate a Feral Hog Eradication Businessthe majority of the Hogs I have killed in all the years I've been doing it the Majority of the Hogs are Killed over a Bait pile from a 25' Ladder Stand at 60 yards and they are shot once in the Head with the.22LR CCI Velocitor 40 grain copper plated hollow point fired from a10/22 . Some are caught in my Boar Buster Traps and I also have used the Ruger PC 9 Carbine with just ball ammo and have killed several of them with just one shot and this ammo +P 90 Grain Lehigh Xtreme shut that pig down at with one shot just behind his shoulder he went down kicked several times and expired . so the ammo is No BS . I also have killed Large Hogs with an XDM PISTOL 9MM & 45 several times. When they are caught in foot snare traps or the Boar Buster coral trap they are dispatched with a .22LR either from a pistol or rifle and it kills them Just as dead as the one you shot with the 6.8 & 270.The Woundchannel this bullet made after field dressing and butchering the Hog. I examined the damage to the meat and it did destroy some meat like noother 9mm pistol bullet I've ever seen . And yes when I hit the HOG the blood came out like water from a garden hose and there was a lot of blood the bullet hit the bottom of the Hogs Heart and turned it to jelly and it destroyed that Boston butt on the entry side on examination of the Wound Channel it was like I said before like none I have ever seen for a pistol bullet I think it is a wonder bullet and would like to seeone of these bullets designs in .308 / 7.62 Nato or .223 / 5.56 MM . Don't knock it until you try it for yourself ."

    Company Testimonial

Test from YouTube Channel "ShootingtheBull410" Compares Fluid bullet vs JHP in gel. Very interesting to see how much larger the wound cavity is when he dissects the gel.

Taofledermaus also tested a Lehigh copy scaled up 12ga slug.

I have them in my 9mm and 45 carry guns. They the theory is sound. They should do the job well.

    Paul Harrell approves
Paul speaks in so many metaphors and reading between the lines. Like "caveats","You be the judge" and "You decide". But There were a couple videos he talked about "hyper ammo" and shows great disdain for them because of POI shift. Even in the G2 RIP vs Underwood XD he did not definitively say that XD was better even though it performed better in the meat target.

I use them in my .380 and 9x19 micro carry guns.
Excellent choice. But there are allot of people calling these bullets gimmicks. Despite the fact the doubters always say they only buy "proven" JHPs. Even though the "proven" JHPs still have a tendency for failure to expand. Be it the JHP being clogged or the JHP being deformed going through a barrier.

Before the new tech bullets, common practice was to carry ball ammo in mouse guns for the penetration. In the smaller barrels, many hollow points failed to open and had less mass so they didn't penetrate far enough.

I think when enough data is collected, they will find that the new tech bullets make the small guns much more effective.

    I don’t worry about them.
lts difficult to convert new people to these fluid transfer bullets. Despite the overwhelming evidence RIP ammo is a gimmick many people still drink the coolaid. Despite the Youtubers Paul Harrell showed the devastation of the XD over the RIP. And the trocars being stopped by the first rib. And ShootingtheBul410 test of a RIP round in gel with a rib in it. The trocars didn't get through the first rib.

Both Paul Harrell and ShootingtheBul410 have many videos debunking the G2 ripoff ammo. And there are the haters of the Underwood XD's that lump the two bullets together as gimmicks.

I’ve long preached the importance of fluid/energy transfer. These projectiles are, IMO, a big advance. Real world experience will take a while, but should be impressive.

I can say that I've shot the .45 Super Xtreme Defenders out of my USP Elite and did not experience any POI shift.
